With the spring season approaching, what better time than now for a fresh restart of your skincare game. As new trends are bound to bloom, incorporate these spring buzzes Dr. Shirazi predicts into your skin regime.
The Cool Boom
We’re going to be turning down the temperature in our beauty and skincare routine. Dr. Shirazi predicts that we’ll see a cooler way of dispensing and applying our skincare products.
Why “cool”? Cool temperatures cause the skin’s blood vessels to contract and temporarily shrink pores resulting in the skin looking firmer and more rejuvenated. Cryo skincare also helps reduce puffiness particularly around the eyes in the morning. Applying skincare chilled helps enhance absorption and feels amazing. We’ll see more eye serums being dispensed from metal tip applicators, such as EyeGlow AM, an all in one morning eye serum and concealer with SPF protection. It’s a great wake up call!

Beyond the Face
We’re going to expand our focus beyond just the face and also pay attention to our lips, hands, chest, and scalp. Areas we haven’t really thought about using skincare or protecting in the past. Body retinols, SPF lip products, and scalp care will be big in the spring.
Education Over Influence
We’re seeing more true experts putting out valuable information on social media channels now more than ever. This will continue to rise. In the past, the public received most of their skincare information from influencers with large followings that weren’t treating skin conditions or had any medical knowledge or training in the skin. Consumers are now realizing the importance of skincare backed by science and research.
