Dr. Shirazi wanted to bring her 18 years of practice and 25 years of medical training to a large number of people who may not have access to a dermatologist. She aspires to help people regain confidence and feel their best!

Dr. Shirazi believes in simplicity and science. More often than not, her patients were spending hundreds of dollars on what they believed to be the next ‘miracle products', but the products lacked efficacy or were wrong for the patient's skin type. To help her patients achieve their skin goals, AziMD Skincare was developed to offer Dr. Shirazi's patients a medical-grade skincare line whose efficacy was based on clinical trials, science, and research.
What started as a passion to bring her patients the best products for their skin, quickly turned into a necessity to bring science-based medical-grade skincare to the market. AziMD Skincare’s formulations are made with the lowest levels of preservatives and are sulfate-free, gluten-free, paraben-free, dye and fragrance-free. These products are built on layered systems of the highest quality, pharmaceutical-grade ingredients to produce real results.
MEET THE FOUNDER
Dr. Azadeh Shirazi, MD is a board-certified dermatologist specializing in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology.
Dr. Shirazi is a highly accomplished and respected dermatologist with an extensive background in research and education. Her time at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine, Harvard Medical School, and the Mayo Clinic provided her with a wealth of knowledge and experience in dermatology and skin surgery.
Her research fellowship at Harvard Medical School's Wellman Center for Photomedicine allowed her to gain a deeper understanding of the effects of light and laser therapies on human biology. This expertise has informed her approach to treating a range of skin conditions, including inflammation, wound healing, cancer cells, and atherosclerotic plaques.
In addition to her impressive academic and research background, Dr. Shirazi is also dedicated to providing the best possible care to her patients. Her focus on personalized, patient-centered care is evident in her extensive experience training other doctors in dermatology and skin surgery, as well as in her work as a skin cancer specialist.
Dr. Shirazi enjoys sharing her knowledge and expertise through speaking engagements at national and international conferences i.e the Global Aesthetic Conference, the American Society of Dermatologic Surgeons Conference, and the World Congress of Dermatology Summit in Argentina. By teaching other physicians her unique expert techniques and sharing her research findings, she helps to advance the field of dermatology and improve patient care.
OUR PRACTICE
La Jolla Dermatology and Laser Surgery Center, is located in iconic La Jolla Village, in the medical district of La Jolla. This brand new, state of the art center was designed with “your ideal experience” as the main focus. With 2,000 sq.ft., beautiful designer features, and aesthetic appeal, every aspect has been meticulously thought through, from our on-site state of the art surgery suite and recovery center, to our certified on-site laboratory and private entry and exit for the ultimate private patient experience.
Our facility is equipped with numerous cutting-edge laser systems and state of the art devices providing you with the very best in dermatological and aesthetic treatments. Our two full-time aestheticians offer medical grade aesthetic treatments and services.
Our treatment rooms, named after iconic and historical La Jolla landmarks, come equipped with heated blankets for procedures, phone chargers in the exam and treatment rooms, a beverage center, snacks in the waiting room, and comforting atmosphere.
All procedures and evaluations are performed by board-certified dermatologists and Cosmetic Surgeon Physicians in a spa-like setting at our comprehensive medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology and skin care center.
